Taylor Peterson & Kendal Craig both received scholarships from the Softball PSG for 2011! Seniors who have played 3 years of Puma softball may apply through the Temecula Valley Citizen Scholarship Foundation. (see link above)

Mandatory Parent Orientation Meeting January 23rd
7:00pm in the CHS Staff Lounge
(enter from main office-go to 2nd floor)

We ask that one parent or guardian per player attend this informative meeting. We will be giving an overview of the upcoming season, goals, team schedules, transportation, fundraising and you can meet our coaches. All orders for your 2012 player and fan spirit wear will be taken on this night only; we will also be accepting donations towards transportation costs. Sample sizes of all spirit & fan wear will be available at the meeting, players are welcome to try on sizes.

Parent Support Group (PSG) - Next Meeting January 30th

The CHS Softball Parent Support Group welcomes all new and returning players to the Puma Nation!
Softball PSG meets monthly and all Puma parents are welcome to attend.
January meeting will be held on Monday the 30th at 7pm in Room 262.
February meeting will be held on Monday the 27th at 7pm in Room 262.


Upcoming Events

Congratulations to all 2012 Puma Players! Save the Date for these important events:

Mandatory Parent Orientation Night - January 23, 2012

7:00pm in the CHS Staff Lounge (enter from main office). Parents will get a chance to meet coaches, purchase spirit wear, and learn about program needs.

Annual Field Maintenance Day & Luncheon / Goodwill Donation Day - February 18, 9:00am
Parents and Players are asked to help get the fields ready for Opening day! New this season...you can start cleaning your garages/houses out and save your donations for our Goodwill Truck. Make sure to tell your friends and neighbors they can bring their donations to the fields on this day. More details TBA.

Picture Day, All Teams - February 22, 2:15pm CHS fields
All players will be dressed in full uniform & cleats for photo day. Uniforms for each team tba.
Optional order forms will be handed out at the orientation meeting.

Applebees Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser - March 24
All Players will be asked to support this event by selling tickets to an all you can eat Pancake Breakfast.
All three of our teams will be hosting the event. Details TBA.

Big Cat Camp - April 2nd & 3rd, 9am to 12:00 noon
This is an annual camp that is open to all girls in the community ages 5-14. This camp is run by our coaches and players. All players work the camp on both days and receive community service hours for their support.

BINGO Fundraiser - April 28, 6:00pm, CHS GYM
This is our Biggest Fundraiser of the Season, all players will be asked to sell tickets to this great event, more details TBA.


New Puma Varsity Head Coach Jerry Delamater

Puma Softball is pleased to announce that Jerry Delamater has been named the new Varsity Head Coach, replacing long time coach Aaron Slojkowski who stepped down after last season. Jerry comes to Chaparral with over 30 years of coaching experience. He is the Head Coach of the TNL travel ball organization, overseeing 8 teams. This summer he lead the 16U TNL team to Championship wins at both the ASA SoCal State and ASA National tournaments. Jerry has 10 years of travel ball experience. He has been the Chaparral Varsity Assistant Coach for the last 4 years and he coached in Temecula's girls softball rec league for 10 years. He is also an experienced high school boys basketball & boys little league coach. Jerry grew up in Garden Grove and is married to Dawn Delamater. They have two beautiful girls, Lindsey (21) a senior at Chapman University and Courtney (18) a sophomore at Palomar, both CHS graduates and former Puma softball players.
